AT&T New Orleans Jazz Fest 2007 video

WHEN will AT&T have the archives from this year's Jazz Fest
available? It's been two weeks since the fest was over. When will we
get to see anything? Why does it take so long to do this? They could
have been ready the next day...

  1. So, the AT&T webcasts of Jazz Fest are ready now. A paltry song or two for a few artists. I was hoping for their whole performances. Oh well.

I checked out a most of them.

Theresa Anderson's Purple Weather Girl was a nice surprise. A sad song, but I can see how it would fit in in New Orleans.

Jon Cleary did the cover of All Right Now, that 60s rock song by Free. Couldn't take it.

Allan Toussaint's Party Goin On is trite but good.

Luther Kent is new to me. I like it!

Buckwheat Zydeco has a good intro on Hard To Stop. Dedicated it to Ed Bradley. He's a got a big horn section behind him now. Cool. "Show me what you're working with!" Good stuff. Jackpot not as good.

New Orleans Social Club - Look Up. Dr John on piano but you'd never know it.

Subdudes - All the Time In the World. Good to hear this again. Nice gtr solo.

Franklin Ave Baptist Church Choir - Good gospel but sad to see them in T-shirts rather than their vestments although I suppose it is cooler for them that way...

Henry Butler, "a visionistical down home cat...", does Jump To The Music. Trouble is, he sings.

Marcia Ball - That's Enough of That Stuff. (I'm not getting past the first few seconds but will keep trying.)

Bonnie Raitt with Jon Cleary - Unnecessarily Mercenary, good. Trinkets, hey, call them dachshunds, not wiener dogs... Good. I saw this live... That guy named Mike who fixed my bike... stupid lyrics. Betty on the levee...

Zachary Richard's cliche tourist-fare Crawfish was a big disappointment. Is that all we get from him? Very big disappointment.
